Texas Pete Twin City RibFest returns to Winston-Salem this Father’s Day weekend June 12, 13 & 14 from 11am-12midnight daily. Located at the 200 N Cherry Street block, Adult tickets are $6 each (at the door) and Children are free! [Edit: Nab some discounted $4 tickets in advance from Lowe's Foods. Also, it seems admission for lunch on Thursday and Friday is free!]
Your $6 pays for you to enter the RibFest “area” and partake in the shopping, amazing food (extra $$) and some great entertainment (the everybodyfields is the act I’ll be going to see, personally). Last year The Avett Brothers played an amazing set.

The competition this year in terms of BBQ will rage between seven different “teams”. Last year, my girlfriend and I were really impressed with Pigfoot BBQ from West Salem, Ohio and anticipate some top notch ribs again this year.
All the groups will offer a variety of meals (ribs, racks, pulled pork sandwiches) and will showcase their best sauces (from sweet and tangy to heavy and spicy). There will also be beer available for those 21 and up.
